Academic and Professional Activities
With over 7 years of experience, Fidel’s practice is focused on the oil & gas and power industry.
Fidel has provided advice to national and international clients in the structuring and execution of various complex operations in Mexico and the United States, including the structuring, execution, and sale of hydrocarbons, combined-cycle generation plants, gas pipelines, fuel storage capacity, and asset management.
In the oil & gas industry, Fidel was involved in negotiations for the development and execution of six of the largest hydrocarbon supply contracts with the Productive Subsidiary Companies of CFE and has participated in various bidding procedures for the purchase of fuels by CFE.
In the power industry, Fidel has advised multiple clients in phases for obtaining generation permits, registration in the qualified user registry, regulatory advice to participants of the Wholesale Electricity Market, and conducting Due Diligence for projects. Similarly, he has conducted various investigations and risk reports regarding regulatory matters concerning the electric industry.
